Holy See

Holy See
   This term is a translation of the Latin sancta sedes, which literally means "holy seat." The word "see" refers to adiocese or seat of a bishop. The Holy See is the central administration of the bishop of Rome and thus of the whole Roman Catholic Church. (See CCC 882)
